BASIC STRINGING
An introduction to necklace design and bead stringing. Learn about methods of design and the types of stringing materials available, then use flexible wire and crimp beads to complete a single strand necklace. Instructor: Debra Stephens

BASIC EARRING DESIGN
Use ear wires, head pins, and eye pins to make three pairs of unique earrings. Learn to make both a simple loop and a wrapped loop for a professional and secure finish. Perfect for beginners. Instructor: Debra Stephens

KNOTTING
Learn how to knot with an awl and finish a necklace using either French wire or clamshells to attach a clasp. Beads can be knotted continuously or in a “floating” presentation. A pendant may also be added. Prerequisite: Basic Stringing highly recommended for design purposes. Instructor: Kim Humphrey

REINVENT YOUR JEWELRY
By popular demand, we are continuing to offer this class every third Friday. Many people are wanting to take it more than once!
Bring in the jewelry you no longer wear (because it is either broken or out of style) and remake it. From an old strand of beads or pearls, with a few new bead additions and a new clasp, you can have a brand new piece of jewelry! You will be helped with design ideas and construction. Instructor: Kate Linne
One session, $10 (Yes, only $10! But materials are extra and advance registration is still required.)
Held on the third Friday of each month. Go to Trattoria 225 (225 Harrison) when you are done, wear your jewelry, show your Bead in Hand receipt, and get a free glass of house wine. Make this a Girls’ Night Out!

NEW CLASS! FELTED BEADMAKING
A new class that is two classes in one! Start out at Pamela Penney Textile Arts and make your own felt beads with wool roving, learning both needle-felting and wet felting techniques. The next week, pick up your beads at Bead in Hand and incorporate them into your own one of a kind necklace using additional glass seed and accent beads, flexible wire and a basemetal clasp. You’ll learn both felted beadmaking skills and basic beading skills in this two part class! Instructors: Pamela Penney and Kate Linne

KUMIHIMO – GETTING STARTED
Learn the basics of this Japanese weaving technique using beads to create a finished piece that looks just like bead crochet, but so much easier! Instructor: Rose Hanley
